There are a couple of important things to remember while you are on holiday in Puerto Pollensa:
Unlike the UK where you can buy non prescription medication in the supermarket, in Mallorca medication can only be purchased in a pharmacy. The main pharmacy is on the road leading from Puerto Pollensa to to the old town of Pollensa.
If you do need access to a doctor while you are on holiday, appointments and 24 hour calls can be arranged. All towns in the island have private doctors just look out buildings with a red cross. If it important that you have travel insurance and insurance documentation which you will need to take with you to the doctors. You will probably be expected to pay the insurance excess fee and the doctor will reclaim any balance due directly from the insurance company.
You can also get medical treatment at a PACS surgery make sure you take your UK medical card with you. The PACS off in Puerto Pollensa is at the town hall.
Should you need the hospital the nearest one is Hospital de Muro.
