I often hear people remark to others about the fabulous holidays they have had in Puerto Pollensa and of course for those who have been there, you will not be surprised.
Here is a brief true story.
I was waiting in a long queue in my local Post Office and in front of me were an elderly man and a woman, who seemed to be neighbours. They were speaking loudly and their conversation could be heard by everyone.
He said that he was waiting to buy euros to take on holiday. The lady asked where he was going on holiday and he responded,
” You probably will not know the place, it`s a charming small town in Majorca
called Puerto Pollensa”. The lady responded- “we have been there many times and have never been disappointed.”
They then both spoke glowingly about –The Pinewalk, -the wonderful beach and the many attractive Hotels and Apartments. They then started to discuss the vast choice of Restaurants — and at that point they had reached the front of the queue and the conversation came to an abrupt end when the counter assistant was ready to serve them.
I wonder how many of the people in the queue will now decide to go there.?
It was good free word of mouth advertising for Puerto Pollensa — and the town deserves it.
