From local markets selling fresh local produce to a supermarket stocking old British favourites there’s something for every shopper’s need in Puerto Pollensa.
These are usually open from around 8am – 1pm on a Wednesday in Puerto Pollensa and on a Sunday in Pollensa. Not only can you buy a whole range of delicious fresh, local produce such as cheeses, fruit, meats, vegetables, flowers and even household goods but you can have fun doing so as these are lively places where trading with the locals in an experience in itself. To do it properly invest in a traditional Mallorquín shopping baskets and you will really feel like a local.
If the purpose of your shopping spree is to buy gifts or even just to treat yourself to a little something special then the pedestrian promenade and Formentor Road is an ideal area to explore. There is a good selection of boutiques, perfume shops and gift shops all just a short walk from the beach making shopping here an ideal pass time when the sun on the beach becomes too hot.
There are many chemists and supermarkets (varying in size) located throughout the resort – most of which have extended opening hours so you are unlikely to be caught short should you need anything in an emergency. There is even a supermarket stocking British food for those of you who like to have their home comforts whilst away on holiday.
