For those who enjoy walking around an old roman town, admiring the architecture and then relaxing at one of the many restaurant bars located throughout the town, then Alcudia in the north of Majorca is worth visiting.

It has a beach so you could include some seaside relaxation in your outing from Puerto Pollensa. Alcudia is only a 20 minute local bus journey from Puerto Pollensa and you can see it quite easily in the distance from the bay of Puerto Pollensa.

You can visit Alcudia and be back in a morning so you do not need to spend the entire day there unless by choice. The bus leaves fairly early from the bus terminus at the roundabout and the price each way is approximately 2 euros.

You will find the bus timetable in your ‘whats on in Puerto Pollensa’ brochure which you can collect from the tourist information office. Make sure you check the bus time for the return journey as their is a period over lunchtime when buses do not run – due to the siesta.
